Performance Management

Many of you might think Performance Management focuses on writing and delivering Performance Reviews, and ISI would say, “Think again!”

Performance Management is the core of what a manager should be doing on a day in and day out basis. It is a continuous process that takes place throughout the year and Performance Reviews are only a small but important aspect of managing your employees. ISI’s Performance Management Process (PMP) allows you to get clear about expectations, performance goals, career aspirations, development plans and follow up. ISI’s PMP provides you with opportunities to engage with your employees and address issues such as talent retention, dealing with difficult employees, delivering coaching and feedback, and of course, performance reviews. ISI’s process equips managers with the tools, materials and skills to be engaged with their employee’s performance year round… if you’re engaged with your employees, then you will notice if they start to disengage!

ISI worked with the CEO and Executive Leadership to develop a mission, values and strategic plan that would position HART as being one of the best of its size in the nation. As an adjunct to this effort it was evident that an execution based performance management system was needed that anchored team and individual goals to the strategic plan. ISI assisted the executive team in first identifying core leadership competencies.

In collaboration with staff, revamped their performance review tool to not only reflect the leadership competencies but reflect job duties, values and performance goals. ISI developed a customized performance management training program that was attended by all managers. A complementary course was created for individual contributors with emphasis on how to “receive” a performance review, their responsibility to goal execution and accountability, development planning and career pathing.
